Robert E. Delphia, Jr., M.D.
Robert E. Delphia, Jr., M.D., is Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and the Coronary Care Unit at Providence Heart Institute. He also serves as the South Carolina Heart Center’s director of medical research, and has been with the South Carolina Heart Center since 1987. He practiced previously in Olathe, Kansas, and Plano, Texas. He has served as Chief of Cardiology at Providence.
Dr. Delphia earned his doctor of medicine degree at Kansas University Medical School in Kansas City, Kansas, and completed his residency in internal medicine at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. He completed his fellowship in cardiology at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Delphia is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine for cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology and internal medicine. He is a Fellow and Diplomate of the American College of Cardiology, and is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association.
